Terms of Service

Version 2026-08-01 · EDASTYL, s.r.o.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms form an agreement between you and EDASTYL, s.r.o., Poštová 1040/15, 982 01 Tornaľa, Slovak Republic, Company ID 36173576 ("Edastyl", "we"). They govern your use of the Heatmon Android app and the web portal at heatmon.eu (together, the "Service").

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

2. What the Service does

Heatmon monitors heating equipment, solar inverters and battery storage at a site, presents the readings to you, and — depending on the equipment and your role — lets you change certain operating settings remotely.

3. Accounts and access

3.1 Creating an account

You can create an account freely, but an account on its own gives you nothing. Access to a site comes either from adding it with a code issued by us or your installer, or from an invitation issued by the owner of that site. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done through your account.

3.2 Ownership

The first person to add a site becomes its owner. Ownership is granted once: after that, the same code cannot make anyone else the owner, and further access is shared by the owner from within the app. If a site needs a different owner — a change of occupancy, or the wrong person added it first — contact us and we will transfer it.

3.3 Roles

RoleWhat it allows
OwnerFull access, including inviting and removing other people
MemberViewing the site and changing operating settings
ViewerViewing the site only

An owner may invite members and viewers and may remove them at any time. Removal takes effect immediately.

3.4 Sharing

If you invite someone to your site, you are giving a real person real control over your heating system. Invite only people you trust, and remove them when they no longer need access. We cannot judge on your behalf who should have access to your home.

4. Support access

Heatmon support and engineering staff can access the monitoring system installed at your site in order to diagnose and resolve faults, and to investigate problems we detect ourselves. This access does not require and does not reveal your password. Every such access is recorded, and the record is available to you on request.

5. What you must not do

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. It depends on your internet connection, your site equipment, mobile networks and third-party infrastructure, none of which we control. We may suspend the Service for maintenance and will give notice where reasonably practicable.

7. Heating equipment, safety and liability

7.1 Heatmon is not a safety system

Your heating equipment has its own safety controls, built in by its manufacturer. Those controls are what keep the equipment safe. Heatmon sits alongside them; it does not replace them, override them, or act as a substitute for them. You must not rely on Heatmon to prevent freezing, overheating, equipment damage or any other hazard.

7.2 Monitoring is not supervision

Heatmon may fail to show a fault, may show it late, or may not be reachable at all — for example if the internet connection at your site is down. Absence of an alert does not mean absence of a problem. You remain responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of your equipment.

7.3 Remote changes are your changes

Where the Service lets you change an operating setting, the change is yours, made at your own risk, and you are responsible for its consequences. The same applies to changes made by anyone you have given access to your site.

7.4 Limits on our liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or the cost of alternative heating, arising from use of or inability to use the Service.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Slovak or EU law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by anything in this document.

8. Charges

The Heatmon app is provided at no charge to the owner and members of a monitored site. Any charge for the monitoring installation or for service work is a separate matter between you and whoever supplied it.

9. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time, in the app or at heatmon.eu/account/delete/. Deleting your account does not change any setting on your heating equipment.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if your account is used to endanger equipment or people, or if we are required to do so by law. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why.

Your access may also end because the owner of a site removed you, or because the monitoring contract for that site ended. That is a matter between you and the site owner or the installer.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including the app, the portal and the software on the monitoring equipment, remains our property or that of our licensors. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it for monitoring your own site for as long as your account is active. Nothing is assigned to you.

11. Your data

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Measurements from the equipment at a site are associated with that site rather than with an individual account.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. A new version is published with a new version date, and where a change materially affects your rights we will ask you to accept it when you next sign in. If you do not accept a new version, you may delete your account.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, and disputes fall to the courts of the Slovak Republic.

If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own country. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or contact the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia) as the alternative dispute resolution body.
